FAQs

We've collected and answered some of the questions we are most frequently asked.

The messages inscribed on the vases looks etched. How do you do it?

As designers, we've always loved the look of engraving, but for everyday items, it just isn't practical and we like things that are "practical AND pretty". We discovered a Canadian company that specializes in decorative glassware. We were the first project of this nature, but they worked with us to achieve the authentic look, feel and durability of etching without using decals or paint, that could chip or fade, or the harsh chemicals used for etching.

Do I have to wash this by hand?

Heavens no! Just place it in the dishwasher. If someone has written a message or dated the bottom, hand-washing is recommended to preserve the sentiment.

Will the message/motif chip or fade?

The special film used to hand-emboss our products is fired at an insanely high temperature in a kiln, to virtually embed the design into the glass. If the inscription does chip, we'll happily replace it. As for fading, the film itself is designed to be semi-transparent to preserve the look of authentic etching or laser engraving.

How do I register my product?

Simple:
Click here and a quick "Create Account" form will pop-up.
Enter the unique Product Serial Number (found at the bottom of your vase) where requested.

I can actually write a note or date on the bottom?

Sure can! While a permanent marker like a Sharpie (TM) is ideal, you can also use a ball-point pen. Just be sure that it's not a gel pen or regular felt-tip marker.
